Before you can register a dividend to another person, you need to select the relevant company and click the “+ New Event” button.
Step 1 – Choose Date
Select the date when the registration of the transfer of the right to receive a dividend to another person is recorded in the share ledger. As with all other types of events, this event is registered in chronological order.
Step 2 – Choose Who Has the Right to the Dividend
Select whether the registration concerns granting the right to a dividend to another person or reverting that right back to the shareholder.
If registering a dividend to another person, you can then choose the shareholder(s) and the shareholding(s) affected by this event.
If removing a previously registered dividend right to another person, a list of the shareholder(s) who have already transferred the right to a dividend will be shown. You can then easily select which shareholdings should regain the right to the dividend.
Step 3 – Add Note (Optional)
A notes field is available for this event. If you wish, you can add reminders or other relevant information about the event.
These notes are not visible in the printed share ledger and can only be accessed by administrators/observers via Share Ledger Events → “More Info”.
Step 4 – Upload Attachment (Optional)
You may upload one or more attachments associated with this event. Attachments are not visible in the printed share ledger and can only be accessed by administrators/observers via Share Ledger Events → “More Info”.
Step 5 – Complete the Registration of Dividend to Another Person
Click the “Complete” button. If all information is filled in correctly, the event will be registered and the share ledger and all related reports will be updated accordingly.
Notification to Shareholders
If any of the shareholders have a depot in NVR, they will be notified that their holdings in the company have changed. They will then have the opportunity to log in to NVR to verify the updated information.
This notification supports both the administrator and the shareholders by offering an opportunity to react if the registration is incorrect. This is also important for ensuring transparency.
