A settlement note is a document or receipt that confirms a securities transaction has been completed—such as a share purchase, a new share issue, or other financial instrument transactions. The note contains important information including the number of shares, price, total amount, and the date of the transaction, and it serves as a receipt for the deal.

Unlike a subscription list, which shows an overview of all individuals who have subscribed to or been allocated shares, the settlement note is unique to each subscriber and is often used for accounting and tax declaration purposes.
