The Importance of Having Full Control Over Company Ownership
In addition to the actual ownership tracked in the share ledger, there are often various types of instruments that may affect future ownership—commonly derivatives such as convertibles or different types of options. To ensure clear ownership structures going forward—assuming these derivatives are exercised—it is essential to be able to easily understand their impact.
Where Can I Find the Full Dilution Overview?
If you have the Pro plan, you can find the full dilution overview under the regular shareholder overview in the menu on the left.
How Is This Overview Different from the Standard Ownership Overview?
Outstanding Shares – Shows how many shares each individual or company could convert from derivatives into shares if fully exercised.
Fully Diluted Shares – Reflects the effect of all potential shares that could be added in the future through outstanding options, convertibles, warrants, or other instruments that grant the right to purchase shares in the company.
Fully Diluted Ownership Percentage – Displays the portion of the company that each individual stakeholder would own if all outstanding options, convertibles, and other future shares were fully exercised.
